Frequently Asked Questions
What is Stockbruh?
Stockbruh is a stock market analysis platform for beginner investors. We translate complex financial data into plain English using a weather-themed rating system — Sunny ☀, Cloudy ☁, Thunderstorm ⛈ — so you can understand any stock or ETF in seconds without a finance degree.
Is Stockbruh free?
Yes — Stockbruh is free to start. Public stock and ETF teaser pages are accessible to everyone without an account. Signing up (free) unlocks favorites, a personalized feed, and gameplans. SuperBruh premium adds unlimited depth and advanced AI chat.
Where does Stockbruh get its financial data?
Stockbruh sources all financial data from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP), a trusted third-party financial data provider. Data is refreshed daily and covers income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and real-time market prices.
What do the weather icons mean?
☀ Sunny = strong metrics (top of range). ☁ Cloudy = moderate or mixed. ⛈ Thunderstorm = weak or concerning. Each of the five stock metrics (Returns, Profitability, Growth, Earnings, Cash) gets its own weather rating based on published financial thresholds.
Is this financial advice?
No. Stockbruh is an educational tool only. Our ratings are informational snapshots to help you learn — not buy or sell recommendations. Always do your own research and consider speaking with a licensed financial advisor.
How are stock ratings calculated?
Stockbruh rates stocks across five dimensions: Returns (3-year price performance), Profitability (net margin and ROE), Growth (revenue/earnings growth), Earnings (EPS trend), and Cash Situation (FCF and debt). Each metric is compared against defined thresholds. See How We Rate for full criteria.
Not financial advice. Stockbruh is an educational platform, not a broker.
